Slow Scan Television (SSTV) is a way to send and receive images over the radio by encoding the image data as a sequence of tones. It was one of the first things that got me interested in amateur radio and I have vivid memories of receiving SSTV on a DSE D-2832 with audio-out attached to a audio-serial converter and connected to my 486 computer running JVFAX 7.0.
